The Weekend CNA will provide direct resident care, support daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for our residents. This position is ideal for a CNA looking for a consistent weekend schedule with a collaborative nursing team in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation setting.

Summary for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Qualifications

  • Active Connecticut CNA certification in good standing

  • Current CPR certification preferred

  • Previous long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred 

  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding

  • Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nurse promptly

  • Provide mobility assistance, including transfers, repositioning, and ambulation, using proper safety techniques

  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

  • Respond to call lights promptly and courteously

  • Support infection control and safety procedures

  • Promote residents’ dignity, comfort, and emotional well-being
