Director of Nursing (DON)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and ensure excellence in resident outcomes, regulatory compliance, and staff development.

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut.

• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting (ADON or DON experience preferred).

• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations (DPH, CMS).

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing services within the facility.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (DSS, DPH, CMS).

• Lead and support nursing staff to provide exceptional resident-centered care.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with the Administrator and department heads to maintain operational efficiency.

• Monitor quality assurance programs and participate in care plan meetings.

• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and staff performance evaluations.

• Serve as a role model, mentor, and resource for nursing personnel.
