Maintainance Director

Grandview Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Director to oversee all aspects of facility maintenance and ensure a safe, well-functioning environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. The Maintenance Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the daily operations of the maintenance department, including building systems, equipment, grounds, and life-safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on technical knowledge, and experience managing maintenance operations in a healthcare or long-term care setting. This role requires a proactive individual who can balance preventative maintenance, urgent repairs, regulatory inspections, and team management while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Director or similar leadership role, preferably in healthcare or senior living.

• Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and life-safety regulations.

• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Hands-on skills in maintenance trades.

• Oversee all facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as life-safety codes.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

• Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff.

• Manage vendor relationships and oversee outside contractors as needed.

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

• Support the facility’s overall mission of providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
