Position Summary

 

Grandview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor to oversee patients and manage the nursing team of our facility. Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a Registered Nurse and can handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills and a problem-solving attitude.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current state license.
  • A minimum two years of nursing experience in long term care.
  • Must have a current/active CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure required by D.P.H. in long term care.
  • Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor:

  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.
  • Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
  • Supervise nursing staff assigned and allocate duties to LPNs and nursing assistants, as directed.
  • Document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
  • Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and the status of residents.
  • Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff according to facility guidelines.
  • Review charting on a weekly basis for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanics procedures.
  • Respond to the need for staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff.
  • Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to provide proactive improvement. 
  • Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
